                                 Facts about Chipmunks
*Order-Rodentia
Latin name- Tamias Quadrivittatus Wow that's a crazy name!:)

Chipmunks are smaller then I thought!! They are 2-6 inches depending on their breed. When you hear that number it's like, yeah okay not to big right? But then you see them! Wow it's crazy!
They mature in about 320 days! That's less then a year. Wouldn't be cool if we could do that? When they are first born in their nest they weigh about 0.003 kg! That's really light!!
When they become adults they weigh about 0.07 kg. Still, not very heavy!:)
When they get older they make a litter this contains about 4 baby chipmunks. They can only make 1 litter a year. Only? That's a lot Coco! Silly me! :D
They are not nocturnal. Which means that they are active during the day not the night.
  Where do they live anyway?
Good question! They might be living under your porch right now!:D I know crazy. But they most likely aren't! They usually live in forests, and trees, and under ground.
Thanks for reading! hope you enjoyed it!!

P.s. Here is my drawing of one of these little fellas!:D
