The Earth!!
The Earth is a terrestrial planet meaning that it is made out of rock. Jupiter is made out of gas.
The Earth was formed about 4.54 billion years ago!
So how was the Earth formed anyway?
I've always wanted to know this!! Of course this is just a theory.
At one moment in time people believe that the Earth was made out of all molten rock. It would take about 20 million years to cool down to it current temperatures! Unless of course water was formed! Meteors were hitting the Earth continuously about 4.4 billion years ago!
So, get on with the subject! Right?
Well, that is what made water! Apparently meteors contained about 5% water. And when the meteors hit they left a small amount of water.
Wouldn't the water just evaporate?
Yes, it would evaporate! There was a lot of carbon dioxide in the air at this time, and when the water evaporated the water joined the carbon dioxide and made HUGE dark thunder clouds!
These clouds made rain for millions of years and that is what made the oceans today!
How big is the Earth?
The Earth is bigger than Pluto by a lot! Now let's compare the Earth to Jupiter... WOW!!!!!! The Earth is SO tiny!!!
If you measure the Earth around the Equator in miles it would come out to about 24,901.55 miles!!
And if you drove around the Equator at 60 mph. It would take about 17.3 days to get back to where you started!!:)
Thanks For reading! Hope you enjoyed it!
