Cancer

What is cancer?

There are two different definition of cancer. One is: A disease caused by to many cells in a part of your body.

And the second one is: A large growth or tumor caused from a large group of cells.

Here are some things that make cancer more likely to happen: (anyone can get it though.)
*Smoking can lead to lung cancer.
*Spending too much time in the sun can cause skin cancer.
*Chemicals in the air can cause cancer.
*Too much alcohol can lead to some types of cancer.
*A history of cancer in your family can make it more likely for you to get cancer.
*Not being healthy can cause cancer.
*And also having an infection in your body can cause cancer.
However, lots of people that do many of these risks that can lead to cancer never do get cancer. But some people that don't do or have any of these things still get cancer. It is sad when people do get cancer. It can lead to death. Which is also a very sad thing that can happen to people. But it does happen.

Thank you for reading this I hope you enjoyed it! Oh! And here is a diagram of lung cancer:

That's a fine summary of what cancer is, Coco. You did a great job.

Cancer is a scary thing. Luckily these days most types of cancer can be treated and cured, if they're spotted early enough.

Coco, great work! I like your lung cancer diagram, too. It sounds like you really understand what cancer is, and you explained it very simply and clearly.
