Drumline

The other day my grandma and I went to Popejoy Hall to watch people from all over the country perform. What they performed was called Drum Line Live.

So what is a drum line?
A drum line is a group of drummers that play their drums with a lot of style. They might be a part of a marching band, but they also can play by themselves.

You need to have a lot of rhythm to be in a drum line group. You really have to have hand-eye coordination too. You have to have these things because everyone has to play together. If someone misses a note many people might get off track and if that happens, well... it wouldn't be good.

When  and where did drum line start?
Drum line started in 1976 at the Rocori High School in Cold Spring, Minnesota. Over time drum line has become more and more popular and more advanced.  Being in a drum line band is popular all around the United states and Japan too.

My grandma and I had a whole lot of fun! We enjoyed clapping our hands in rhythm and we enjoyed watching the show. We were expecting more of a marching band, but the way it was I couldn't have imagined having more fun. There were trumpets, dancers, drummers (of course), flutes, and many more instruments too.
Here is my drawing of a drum line group:
